DVConnect exists to help Queenslanders escape domestic, family and sexual violence by providing crisis helplines, as well as emergency transport and accommodation away from violence. DVConnect is a not-for-profit organisation that has provided state-wide specialist domestic, family and sexual violence crisis counselling, intervention, information, safety planning and pathways to safety for almost 20 years.

Queensland Indigenous Family Violence Legal Service (QIFVLS) was formed after the recognition of a gap in access to legal and well-being support services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victims and survivors of domestic violence, family violence and sexual assault. 


We are a free legal service for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people affected by family violence or sexual
assault. We were established to deliver culturally appropriate services across Queensland.

ATSIL's is a community-based organisation established to provide professional and culturally proficient legal services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Queensland.

We deliver a broad range of civil, family and criminal law services as well as prevention, intervention and community legal education programs, coronial and public sector monitoring and Throughcare services.

Our mission is to foster collaborative partnerships with our communities, key government and non-government stakeholders to influence positive change and deliver high-quality legal services for our people within or exposed to the justice system.

ATSILS delivers services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities from over 20+ locations across Queensland.


 Brother to Brother is a 24-hour phone support line for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men who are experiencing crisis and need someone to talk to.

The service is for Aboriginal men of all ages and is staffed by Aboriginal men, including Elders, who have lived experience.


It offers support for any issues where someone is struggling to cope including:

  • relationship stress
  • separation
  • isolation
  • family violence issues
  • parenting issues
  • inter-generational trauma
  • job or financial insecurity
  • stress and worry.

The Women's Healing Journey a service or family members of men in the Ngarra Jarranounith Program and Bramung Jaarn Program.
